The Moto Guzzi Sport is now available with the updated 4V motor.
Moto Guzzi has updated their 1200 Sport with the 4V (4 valve head) motor that debuted in the Griso last year.
The Quattrovalvole (it's actually an eight-valve, but for some reason
Guzzi likes to number the valves in each cylinder) engine is bumped to a claimed 105 bhp at 7,500 rpm, with max
torque of 110 Nm (a luvly grunty 81 ft-lb) at 6,500 rpm.
Chassis of steel tubes, suspension by Marzocchi, brakes by Brembo
including optional ABS, and styling reminiscent of the 1970s (the
little fairing in particular, mildly rear-set pegs, etc.), make what
should be quite a fun sporting ride.
Heated grips, panniers, top box and GPS are all options, and Guzzi says
that particular attention was paid to passenger accommodations, despite
the sporting look.
No word on availability though the Canadian importer usually waits a year to bring in a new or updated model (so expect to see it in 2010).
