The GY.

These are the road bikes of the Xingyue line and they use a 387 cc liquid-cooled single cylinder motor with a claimed max power output of 29.5 hp at 7,000 rpm.

Fueling is by a single carb and top speed is a claimed 140 km/h, which can be reduced by a single disc front and rear (thought we’re not sure how big or how many pistons).

Wheels are 17” cast aluminium wheels, there’s an 820 mm seat height, chain final drive and a claimed dry weight of 161 Kg (190 gross with its 22 litre tank full).

GY2 has better styling.

The two bikes are pretty much the same, but the GY-2 differentiates itself with a BMW-esque styling (better in our opinion), three spoke wheels, and a blacked out frame and motor.

MSRP is $4,999.00

The Y2 is the dualie.

The Y-2 is Xingyue’s dual sport and shares the motor and frame with the GYs, but with taller suspension and fancier USD forks up front.

Disc brakes front and rear use twin-piston calipers and wave discs (no size given) and bolt onto a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel.

The larger wheels and taller suspension give 300 mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 880 mm. Max power and speed are the same as the GYs, though claimed weight is lower at 145 kg dry (153 kg wet).

MSRP is $5,599.00.

xy200t7_rsf.jpgT-7 is a larged wheeled scoot.

The T-7 is a 175 cc scooter using a single cylinder air-cooled four-stroke motor, which pumps out a claimed 9.5 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. Transmission is the standard CVT type and it can be started be either kick or electric.

Wheel size is a large 16 inches diameter, which should help with stability and there’s disc brakes front and back. Claimed dry weight is 123 kg (150 wet) with a fuel capacity of 8 litres.

Max claimed speed is a 100 km/h and the seat height is 840 mm.

MSRP is $3,199.00.

The ZK is either very cool or very uncool ... you decide.

Now this is an interesting beast! Looking a bit like a cross between a BMW C1 and a wheelchair, the ZK is a three-wheeler (two at the back) and a roof. The main body pivots around the motor and rear wheel assembly to enable cornering, but offers more stability than two wheels.

Power is provided by a four stroke, air-cooled 150 cc single, which produces a claimed 9 hp at 8,500 rpm. That should be good enough for a top speed of 80 km/h. Transmission is through CVT (as on a scooter) with a double shaft output at the back and a diff (for the two rear wheels).

Seat height is a low 720 mm and wheels are 13 inchers with a disc brake up front and drums at the rear. There’s a lockable trunk in the back for yer lid too.

MSRP is $4,999.00

HYBRID 50

Hybrid uses both electric and gas power.

Xingyue reckon this is the first hybrid scooter in Canada! Powered by a combination of a 50 cc air-cooled motor and an 1000W electric motor, the Hybrid 50 claims best fuel economy of any scooter.

There’s a 3-position switch on the bars that allows you to choose from just the electric motor, just the gas motor or a combo of both. The scooter tops out at 40 km/h in electric mode, but can reach the dizzying speeds of 65 km/h once the gas motor takes over (if you’re in mix mode, the bike will switch from electric to gas at about the 30 km/h mark).

Other specs include a disc front brake and drum rear on a pair of 12-inch wheels with a claimed weight of 94 kg with the lithium batteries installed.

We’re not really sure if you really need a hybrid with only a 50 cc gas motor for that ‘extra power’, but we do like the idea.

MSRP is currently slated at $2,799.00 but that’s not finalized just yet.

Bog standard scoot.

Bog standard scooter with a 50 cc air-cooled four-stroke motor that pumps out a claimed 3.2 hp (resulting in a rather optimistic 70 km/h claimed top speed).

CVT transmission 10-inch alloy wheels and a disc front/drum rear round off the package. Seat height is 660 mm, fuel capacity 5.5 litres and claimed net weight of 84 kg.

MSRP is $1,999.00
