Dakar rally organizers are saying "¡Hola!" to South America for the 2009 running of the wheels, according to various sources. The '08 Dakar rally went into history as the first to be cancelled after terrorists made threats to spoil things on the planned African route.

And they thought it was expensive before, just racing the Thunder class! Deeley Harley-Davidson has announced that they plan to enter the full-blown Superbike wars in Canada in 2008 with the new Buell 1125R and its Rotax liquid-cooled engine.

The CB1100F that Honda previewed at the Tokyo Motor Show in October will roll off a production line and into North American showrooms about a year later, if rumours on a number of websites prove true.

Last week we reported on a shake-up with racing on the East Coast, as long-time club and organizer AMCRA decided it couldn't run its usual schedule and passed off responsibility for motorcycle racing at Shubenacadie to the Atlantic Roadracing League Inc.
