Several
of the women in the Canadian Women’s Cup series have done well
racing south of the border. This year it was Natalie Catherine
Provost’s turn in recent Championship Cup Series (CCS) action at
Homestead (near Miami), with two thirds and a fifth in three races,
in all cases with more than 40 entries.

Written by Larry Tate on Thu, Dec 13th, 2007
Canadian
racing superstar Miguel DuHamel (we’ll still call him Canadian even

apparently liked it.

official … Valentino Rossi will be on Bridgestone tires for 2008. A
press release from the Fiat Yamaha team after the Valencia race stated
that world 250 champ Jorge Lorenzo will be joining Rossi on the factory
team, only he will be on Michelins, with which Yamaha is formally
affiliated, while Rossi’s bike will run Bridgestones, out of a separate
garage to “ensure confidentiality of data for each tyre company”.

Moto GP ? Valencia final
Written by Larry Tate on Mon, Nov 5th, 2007
Repsol Honda and the Spanish corporate hope for the future, Dani
Pedrosa, took victory in the last Moto GP of 2007 at Valencia, in front
of the usual hysterically supportive home-town crowd.
Casey Stoner and
his Marlboro Ducati, who clinched the title three races ago, took a
hard-fought second, while John Hopkins got his fourth podium of the
year in his last race for Rizla Suzuki (he’s signed with Kawasaki for
2008).

Moto GP ? Rookies everywhere!
Written by Larry Tate on Tue, Oct 30th, 2007
From the Moto GP front, some interesting changes for 2008 – and
surprising ones, clearly riders jumping ship looking for more money,
and in some cases, factories desperate for proven talent paying way
more money …
