Dressed up as a toilet and riding a vintage Indian scoot!

The 2009 Mad Bastard Scooter Rally held at the Four Points in Gatineau, Quebec this weekend past was a great success.

Madness reigned supreme as gorillas, a monkey and two bananas, various superheroes and a team of dirty girls with blow-up sex dolls (amongst others) headed into the darkness in the early hours of Saturday for a 749 km route through western Quebec and eastern Ontario.

Of the 75 riders that registered, 72 made it to the starting tent, with 59 eventually limping back to base within their class time limits. This year’s overall winner was Ben Yu Schott (aka Mad Kitty) who managed to tally up an incredible 921 points out of a possible 1000, covering the distance in 22 and a half hours on his 1963 Honda C100.

Team Dirty Girls ...

Ben came all the way from Whitehorse (though he sensibly shipped the bike and flew out) and goes home with a brand new KYMCO Super 9 AC courtesy of KYMCO Canada.

This year’s charity was the Kids Help Phone, who sent two reps to help out on the Friday registration and give a quick talk about where the money raised will go. Through money raised directly by riders and the selling of raffle tickets on the Friday evening we managed to hand over just over $16,500!

We'll be posting a full report of the rally this Friday on CMG, so be sure to tune back in then to experience all the madness. Oh and be sure to check out this Saturday's Toronto Star for Andrew Meeson's impressions of the event.
