Scooter Canada, LC Media's (the guys who bring you Cycle Canada) attempt at wooing the scooter crowd in Canada has been killed, smothered, stabbed with 12 daggers, expired, Italian necktied, swimming with the fishes, pining for the Fjords ... dead.
The magazine always seemingly struggled to find its feet and went through a succession of editors, falling briefly into the hands of current Cycle Canada editor Neil Graham before ultimately expiring at the end of 2009.
Asked about the demise, Messers Graham pointed to last year's massive downturn in scooter sales (about a 50% drop amongst MMIC members), and added that he had agreed with the decision to kill it, having originally only agreed to take on the editorship as a temporary project.
Sadly the magazine's final front cover proclaimed "We survive the Mad Bastard Rally". Apparently not for long. Scooter Canada, died 2009, aged 3.
