2010 Zero S: new colours, more power.

Zero Motorcycles will show four motorcycles in the company's 2010 line-up at Daytona Bike Week in Florida.

The S, DS, X, and MX model electric motorcycles will be available for rides on a demo course at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in the Ocean Center.

The 2010 mopdels feature upgrades and cosmetic changes, including a "Z-Force Air Induction System" that Zero says allows the electric motors to produce more power from smaller components by increasing the flow of air through the motor.

New Corbin-designed seats will provide a lower-seat option for the S and DS models, and new graphics packages allow "personalized styling," according to Zero.

Meanwhile, Zero has acquired the talents of a former Buell engineer. Abe Askenazi, Buell's director of engineering, has joined the all-electric company and will be Zero's VP of engineering.

Askenazi worked on development of 26 models for Buell and contributed to some important patents.
