Cherry, right, will don a helmet for a good cause.
Canadian Hockey personality, Don Cherry, and former Chief of Defence Staff of the Canadian Forces, ret. Gen. Rick Hillier, will embark on a cross-Canada motorcycle tour in support of Canadian troops, as well as prostate cancer awareness.
The Motorcycle Ride for Dad fundraiser celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and is co-chaired by Cherry and Hillier, who will begin their journey in St. John’s, N.L. on August 1. The ride concludes in Victoria, B.C. on August 29th.
This year, the Motorcycle Ride for Dad has partnered with the Canadian Armed Forces Family Fund. The tour will pass through each province and is scheduled to pass through several cities and towns, as well as 12 military bases.
You can donate towards the cause and find a full schedule at ridefordadanniversary.org.
