Amazon finally sells good stuff

Amazon, the online store that started out with books, has moved on to the big time: they're selling motorcycle parts and accessories now.

The U.S. store is already offering thousands of products, including some quality items like D.I.D. chains and Arai Quantum 2 helmets.

The Canadian store, at amazon.ca, is also selling some motorcycle stuff. They have Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, for instance, and Hunter Thompson's Hell's Angels. But chains and helmets, you won't find.

It appears that Amazon has made deals with U.S. distributors, so the parts you order may come from individual sellers through the online retail giant. In that case, it offers a one-stop kind of convenience, though we can't say if their prices will beat the prices offered by Canadian retailers.
