Scooters on display at show
Sales of scooters in Canada doubled from 2003 to this year, and according to the Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council will hit 11,000 by Dec. 31. Accordingly, scooters will feature prominently at the Toronto Motorcycle Show, December 12 - 14.
A major exhibit, Scooter Central, will feature scooter lifestyle information, events, and new models.
Other attractions at the Toronto show include Independent Alley for fans of custom bikes, She Rides Night for female enthusiasts, and a growing number of new motorcycles from Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, BMW, Ducati, Buell, Victory, Triumph, KTM, Hyosung, BRP, and others.
Also, the show at the Toronto Convention Centre will feature Rider Nation, a Vintage Road Racing Associations display of antique racing motorcycles and sidecars, and Extreme Globe.
The Toronto show is an MMIC product and kicks off the 2009 motorcycle show season in Canada. Other shows will follow in the new year in major cities across the country.
