Steve Bond on a better day

Lots of good sprint racing was covered in gloom at Mosport last weekend as CMG regulars Richard Perrin and Steve Bond both ended up in hospital, as did VRRA Mosport track record holder Brian Henderson.
Henderson was out of racing for the weekend with a concussion and a hospital overnight, Bondo is home with a fractured scapula, but Perrin is in Sunnybrooke Hospital in Toronto suffering from severe spinal injuries after a horrifying 240 km tank-slapper and collision with a concrete wall.
Surgery was "successful" but it'll be some time before we'll know exactly what that means.
Not a good weekend at "the big track." Shame, really, because with perfect hot and sunny racing weather, a good turnout of entries (including 41 teams for the endurance race that ended up being cancelled after ambulance delays for Perrin's and Henderson's crashes) and what was probably a record crowd, everything else was great.
