A motocross track will open this weekend near Chilliwack, B.C., in what a local newspaper calls a "nightmare" of controversy.

Two companies that were involved in the track's start-up say the First Nations band that owns the 14-acre property has shut them out of it.

A Merritt, B.C., couple, Larry and Roberta Jordan, say they've been locked out of the property since January, but they have invested about $350,000 in the park, which will eventually cover 150 acres and include several motocross tracks.

The Indian Band says the couple has not provided them with required financial reports.

A separate group, Fraser Valley ORV Park Ltd., says it has pumped $245,000 into the track and then been shut out by the Band.
