A two-day international motorcyclists conference was held on Monday and Tuesday at the Auto World motor vehicle museum in Brussels, and a Canadian organization was involved.

The conference was organization by the Federation of European Motorcyclists' Associations (FEMA), with partnership by the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada, the Australian Motorcycle Council, and other groups. FEMA represents motorcyclists in about two dozen European countries.

The conference's theme was "Motorcycling into the 21st Century."

There were sessions on safety, on the next generation of motorcycles, and other issues. A European Motorcyclists' Forum was launched, providing motorcyclists in Europe with a venue for presenting their views on safety and transport policy.
